Refresh at the Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG)

Australian National Botanic Gardens

When you’re choked with city life and you’re craving for some fresh air, the National Botanic Gardens is definitely what you’re looking for.The Botanic Gardens emanates a sweet scent on its refreshing and healing gusts of wind. The sound, the smell, and the sight all complement a picture of priceless serenity. The long-standing, too old eucalyptus trees still strike a manly pose amidst the Eucalypt Lawn while shrubs and flowers in the Mallee Shrublands sway on the soft blows of the wind.

National Botanic Gardens is ideal for a quick family getaway. While for parents it serves as an escape from the city life, it makes an excellent educational trip for the children. Kids can discover every shrub and tree growing on the fertile land of Canberra through either a guided walk where volunteers introduce the kingdom plantae or through the art and science programs prepared by the ANBG staff.

The trees, shrubs, and the flowers aren’t only a pleasing sight, but the best remedy as well to stress and anxiety caused by the city life.
